Share Your Commute Stories (Telework included!)

Commute.org would like to highlight your commute stories in a future e-news and on our social media channels.
- What does your commute or telecommute routine look like now?
- What do you miss about your commute pre-COVID?
- What may you change about your commute if you return to your workplace?
- Have you continued riding transit? If not, what are you missing about transit?
By sharing your stories with us, you will be entered into a monthly drawing to win a $25 e-gift card. For a bonus raffle entry, attach a picture to the survey representing your commute or remote work environment.
"Before COVID I commuted alone in my car every workday, which is 4 or 5 days a week since I work a 9/80 schedule. I would spend about 35 minutes in my car in the morning and about 75 minutes, and sometimes longer, in my car in the afternoon...my work is about 35 miles from my home. Since COVID, I have been teleworking most of the time and only go in to my office about one day per month to do the things I can't do from home. I save gas and time and I really look forward to my "in office" days as a change of pace. And when I do go in, my commute is very easy both ways now that a lot of other people are also working from home. I have set up a routine that works for me and I love it!." - Andra L. |

Telework & Flex-Schedules Toolkit
|
|
The County of San Mateo's Office of Sustainability published a comprehensive resource of lessons learned and strategies for implementing successful telework and flex-schedule programs. The toolkit was funded by the Connect, Redwood City! program and is available for download.
The toolkit is a resource for other local governments and businesses interested in exploring telework and alternate work schedules.

Commute.org, in collaboration with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), is encouraging employers in San Mateo County to pledge that they will make telework an option for their employees. The pledge encourages those employers to support telework 25% or 1 to 2 days per week for staff who can work remotely.
For more information about the pledge, please click here or contact our Employer Team.
