Friends of Same are also appealing for help for visually impaired Fuan Nabilan student Fernanda complete her course at Cristal University, Same (Photo attached).
'Fernanda has a degenerative eye condition that will eventually leave her completely blind. Though she has low vision, she successfully graduated from secondary school and enrolled in a university course.
In addition to her studies, Fernanda helps in the large vegetable garden at Fuan Nabilan (now securely fenced against wandering livestock thanks to Boroondara Central Lions) and also helps with household tasks at Fuan Nabilan such as preparing food, and helping the younger children.'

20 year Anniversary of
Friends of Same in 2022
We are putting together a history of FoS, we would like to ask people to write something about why and when they joined FoS, what projects they have been interested in, and if applicable please include what involvement they've had (committee member, volunteer or participant at events, visits to Same etc.).
Please send any photos that might be of interest, people can write as much or as little as they choose.
We plan to have the book collated over the next few years
to be ready by 2022.
