DIGITAL RESISILENCE IN THE ERA OF COVID
Ealing Council's health improvement team, in collaboration with the Prevent Education team, will be holding a FREE annual conference for schools on Tuesday, 19 January 2021 from 1-3pm. This conference entitled 'Digital resilience in the era of COVID', will be delivered virtually and is for headteachers, deputy headteachers, SENCO and PSHE co-ordinators working in primary, secondary and special schools. HSL award deadlines
To support schools in achieving their HSL Silver & Gold awards, we have set some deadlines: 14 January to receive a trophy at our virtual conference, 1 May to attend the HSL award ceremony at City Hall, 1 June (HAT members and Harrow schools only): to receive a gift at the HAT celebration event. For award support, attend the HSL 'drop-in' on 17 March via Ealing CPD online.

Safer Internet Day training
Schools are invited to attend the virtual 'Safer internet day activity ideas' training, on 12 January from 3:30-4:30pm. Safer Internet Day is a global initiative whose goal is to make the internet a better and safer place for everyone. This training aims to provide schools with ideas, resources and activities to help them prepare for this day. Free to HAT and Harrow schools.

Packed Lunch Policy training
Schools are invited to attend the training entitled 'How to implement a successful packed lunch policy' on the 26th January from 2-4pm. This training will explain the process required to introduce a packed lunch policy in your school, how to make it successful and how to get parents on board with the policy. Participants will receive the Healthy Lunchtime Toolkit that includes sample policies, posters, surveys and letter templates. Free to HAT and Harrow schools.

Move More training
School wanting ideas to engage pupils in more physical activity are invited to attend the virtual training on the 23 February from 1:30-2:30pm entitled 'Ideas to encourage pupils to move more'. This training will provide schools with ideas, programmes and strategies to increase the amount of physical activity that pupils do during the school day. Participants will get to take away a sample PA policy and the Daily Mile toolkit. Free to HAT and Harrow schools.

NEW PSHE package
This year we have six buy back packages for schools to choose from including the new 'PSHE support’ package. This new PSHE package includes two days bespoke support on PSHE including support on how to monitor and evaluate PSHE, four training on PSHE, free access to the three PSHE networks and a year subscription to the digital social book club library. Bitesize wellbeing training for staff
Three bitesize wellbeing sessions are now available for you to book at your school: relaxation and mindfulness, sleep hygiene, and managing your everyday anxieties. These topics were requested in the Ealing staff wellbeing survey (summer 2020) which found that approximately 50% of staff were sleeping less well, feeling more anxious and feeling more low.
