I need to get something off my chest real quick. We wrote a new song. And we're gonna release it today. And there's gonna be a video! And... I'm really excited. I know, I know. The biggest and toughest gang in the world can't really let anything get them down. Maybe I'm so excited because both the song and the video weren't really finished until the night before last....

Either way, the number is a kind of contemporary witness and therefore has to be released in this shit year and at least conjure some warmth around your heart under the Christmas tree next to all the alcoholic beverages. The video goes online today at 6 p.m. as a premiere on YouTube. You shouldn't miss it.

Joy of Life - Premiere today, 22.12.2020, 6 p.m. CET

When Sean recently showed up in the rehearsal room with a melody and a lyric idea, he was wearily smiled at for his idea of releasing this song before the end of the year. Boom, two weeks later all the recordings are done and even a Corona-Lockdown-compliant music video is shot. You wouldn't believe how complicated it is. Even though the song is not the typical party song of the Paddyhats, which is all about boozing and partying - but it's about time for that - the song gets under our skin. Understand "Joy of Life" as a witness to time and as a glimmer of hope after a shit year. The song is not a whine about everything that was bad this year. It is a source of hope for us and maybe also for you for all the good things that are waiting for us in the future. It's up to us what we make of it. True to the motto: "Fck Corona, we won't back off!" we have decided. You too?
