In-Person Worship: Our Diocesan Response to the Provincial Lockdown
Please click here to read yesterday's letter from Bishop Shane regarding the Provincial lockdown that begins on December 26th. You can find the latest version of the Diocesan COVID-19 plan here.
St. Luke's will move to the RED phase on December 26th, 2020, and in-person worship will be suspended. This means that there will be no in-person services on December 27th, January 3rd, January 10th, and January 17th, and this may well be extended.
There are many wonderful virtual services from all over the world available, and you are encouraged to make use of these resources on Sunday mornings in the month of January. Some of those resources can be found here:
Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa Online Services
The US National Cathedral in Washington
Durham Cathedral (UK) daily livestreams
Diocese of Ottawa Virtual Services
Anglican Church of Canada Resources for Home Prayer
St. Luke's will offer different ways to connect in the month of January. These include Wednesdays at 11 a.m. on Zoom for a Service of the Word with Lectio divina, and Virtual Story-telling time (see note below). You can also look forward to a Virtual Words and Music with Rev. Victoria, and more musical recordings from our own Bob Jones!
These are certainly challenging times, but God is with us, and we will get through this together. Know that Rev. Victoria is holding each of you in prayer, and she is available to talk, or listen or pray with you.

Virtual Gathering
Wednesdays 11 a.m.
A Service of the Word with Lectio divina (Scripture Meditation) on the Gospel for Sunday.
We will meet on Zoom tomorrow, December 23rd, but not on Wednesday, December 20th. Our Wednesday Virtual Gatherings will resume again on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021.

When's the Best Time for you for Virtual Story-Telling Time in January?
As a way of staying connected during this time, we are replacing this fall's St. Luke's Virtual Social Hour with St. Luke's Virtual Story-Telling Time. We would like to find a time and day that works for more people. To find out more about the idea, click here. We warmly invite you to participate in the Virtual Story-Telling Time whenever you can as a story-teller or a listener. Here's a link to a survey to find out what time works best for most, and whose story you'd like to hear, and whether you're open to sharing your story. Please complete this survey by December 27 at 5 PM (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9CCMVB8). Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you there.

A "Blue Christmas" service was offered at St. Luke's last Sunday at 3:00 p.m. It was a time to acknowledge the "blue" feelings we have at Christmas time. Together, we reflected on the pain, the loneliness, and the sadness we may feel and offered it to God for healing and transformation.
You can find the order of service here. You can watch and listen to Rev. Victoria's homily here, and read it here. Included below are some pictures from the service.
