First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him. 2 Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. 1 Timothy 2:1–2 (NCV)
Greetings in the name of the One who brings history to His conclusion!
We have been stateside now for several months and making our rounds to family, doctors and some friends. Health-wise, other than having an outpatient procedure, our doctor visits have been positive. God has given us life to keep on keeping on until He comes. But then, about five weeks ago, we contracted Covid and have been struggling to recover. The last week has shown near normal (what is normal anymore?) possibilities with activities so we are planning to be back in Liberia by mid-January. This will be a shorter trip (2 months) with a longer stay planned in the later part of the year. So, what will we do?
CLINIC
One of the pressing, ongoing needs of the community is for health care. Through God’s earlier provision, we have been able to procure topnotch local personnel with a heart for the people and the credentials to help us get started. The procurement of space is not a problem, now that the gathering center is so near completion. The construction of necessary furniture has been completed in our absence, so we look forward to hitting the ground running with a part-time clinic to get started. Some of this will include a mobile outreach aspect to help the more unreached areas. The need to get the right drugs for the need is always a challenge in Liberia so this is a needed prayer area.
