Merry Christmas

Six rounds of cricket have come and gone and it's time for a break. You don't want to be reading long emails this time of the year, so let's get into. This newsletter has the following:

Message from the President

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Stay safe, put your feet up and enjoy the time with family and friends. Hope you're raring to go after the break, let's turn a great start into a memorable season!

Return Dates

Juniors
For juniors return dates are dependent on the team.
u14-1s and u16-1s
  • first training -  Tues 12 Jan
  • first game - Sat 16 Jan
u12-1s
  • first training - Wed 13 Jan
  • first game  - Fri 15 Jan
All other junior teams (u16-5s, u14-6s, u12-6s, mini bash, stage 1 & 2 girls) return to training the week of 25th January (noting the Tuesday is Australia day public holiday). The first game will be Friday 29th (u12s and mini bash), Sat 30th (u14s-16s), Sun 31st Jan (girls)

Seniors
All senior players can enjoy a fortnight of festivities before training resumes on Tuesday 5th January. 
  • First game back for men's teams is Saturday 9th January
  • The women's team's first match is Sunday 10th January at home

Rep Players

Something that Norwood can be proud of is the number of junior players playing representative cricket. This year, while some tournaments are not running we still have a large number of our juniors involved in rep cricket. 

Keep an eye on our social media as we let you know who is playing where. 

Summer Cricket Camp

Early Jan will see the return of the cricket camp, which gives junior players a chance to spend time learning from senior players and coaches. Details are in the image below. 

Toyota Raffle

The Toyota Good for Cricket Raffle is a fantastic initiative and fundraiser for the club. 
100% of sales......yes 100% goes to the club.

Tickets are only $5 and there are 12 great prizes. Get this. Three cars, private coaching sessions with an Australian cricket legend, Australian cricket memorabilia, iPad, Weber bbq, and a Fitbit are all up for grabs! How good's that?!

Senior Player Sponsors

This season more than ever we need player sponsors. 

We ask that all senior players seek a sponsor for 2020/21.

All players sponsors are $250 and includes your name/logo with the player's photo in the rooms and on website. Sponsors also receive a Norwood cap. 

Sponsoring a player will take $50 from their subs. The more sponsors a player get's the more off their subs. For more information on sponsorship contact Mark Wilson via sponsorship@norwoodcc.org.au .
