We're a whisker away from raising $30,ooo for the Lookout Housing + Health Society by Christmas Day.

Sometimes, Friend, it may seem as though 2020 has been seven years in one.

For all of the challenges, and the suffering, this year has brought to us, you need to know how much we cherish the ways you have been part of the answer to this year.

At sunset yesterday, we heard one person rush into the Forest of Miracles:

"This is the most perfect place for us, right now," she said. "It is exactly everything I could hope for."

They'd just stepped out of their car, and didn't yet notice that Jupiter and Saturn were converging right above the Forest you helped us to light up.  We will never be able truly to know the joy you have helped us to bring to our community, even in the teeth of the pandemic.

But there is more we can do to make certain this Christmas is truly transformative, life changing.

As of this moment, the Forest of Miracles has raised over $28,000 in charitable donations to support the work of the
Lookout Housing + Health Society in our own community.  Every penny is being doubled by the Lookout Foundation.

If you haven't yet made your charitable donation, now is the moment to let your light shine.  If you've already given, know that your donation is already at work; encourage everyone you love to follow your lead and make donations of their own.

Please spread the word, and encourage everyone you love to give generously.

Join us in raising $30,000 in charitable donations by Christmas Day.

Yesterday we also met in the Forest of Miracles a senior who is struggling to keep a roof over her head.  She helped to build our community.  She deserves better.

You helped to keep alight the luminous hope of Christmas.  In that spirit, let's end homelessness beautifully.

We remain deeply grateful to the West Vancouver Community Foundation, the Ambleside Dundarave Business Association, Grosvenor Ambleside and MacLean Homes for helping us make this season a luminous of hope.  They helped us for the very first time to grow the Forest of Miracles to cover the West Vancouver waterfront.  All of us owe them a profound debt of gratitude.  Please join us as well in thanking West Vancouver Mayor Mary-Ann Booth and Council for making certain this season the Forest of Miracles remained a beacon of hope.

Love, joy and light come to you.
