Greetings NCC Family!

We are so looking forward to being with everyone for Christmas Eve Candlelight Service! We will be live streaming both the 5 pm & 6:30 pm services so if you are not able to join us in person, please join us on line.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There is no power in this world that equals the power of love and there is no season which points us to the love of God quite like Christmas.  Christmas is a time to love!  God’s love – agape – never says, “I will love you if…,” or “I love you because…” Those are conditional statements.  Agape says, “I love you in spite of…;” that’s an unconditional, selfless, complete kind of love.  And God's love was never more clearly seen than when he visited this planet as one of us.  It was God’s love that embraced a humble manger and endured a horrible cross. It was God's love that suffered the painful separation of Father and Son.  And it was God’s love that could not be contained in a tomb but proved greater than the power of death itself!  Why would God give so much?  Because the greater the love, the greater the gift.
It is his great love that connects us to him and to one another.  And the best way to respond to his love?  Do what he’s asked us to do.  Remember, Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commands.” (John 14:15) You see, Christmas really is a time to love.
This week, as we pause to celebrate God’s greatest gift of love, Elsie and I would like to wish you a very merry and Christ-centered Christmas.  May the love of God fill your hearts and minds not only now but always.  And may the love of the Christ child flow out of you to permeate the lives of those around you! - Tom Ellsworth
