Marine Mammals of Maine

Sat, January 23, 3pm (virtual)

Marine Mammals of Maine (MMoME) will do a virtual educational presentation which will include photos, videos, and information about the vital work that they do, and how others can get involved and help marine animals. MMoME is a non-profit organization dedicated to marine mammal and sea turtle response, rescue, care, research and education. They respond to stranded marine animals from Kittery to Rockland, mostly seals (300 this last year), sometimes whales, and sea turtles. They have a triage center in Harpswell where they can bring the animals that need medical attention. One of the biggest issues they come across is human interaction with these animals, and all of this could be remedied by spreading the knowledge on how to properly react to these animals.

Valentine’s Day Murder Mystery

Sunday, February 14⋅4:00pm

What better pairing than Valentine’s Day and murder! Welcome to Albert Street, a very friendly neighborhood in Market Snodsbury. The women pop over to each other’s houses for tea and a gossip whilst the men meet down the Red Lion pub every Thursday for darts and a few pints. It’s a quiet life but a satisfying one.

It’s Coronation Day, 1953. The residents of Albert Street have gathered in murder mystery author Dexter Runcie’s front room to watch their new Queen being crowned on his new-fangled television set and to have a party. Everyone avidly watched the procession and ceremony until someone noticed that Dexter had fallen asleep in his chair! There was much laughter... until they realised he wasn’t sleeping - he was dead!

You are invited to dinner to help solve the murder of Dexter Runcie. Ten people are needed to be Character Suspects. The first 10 people who sign up to be Character Suspects will be sent a script via email that they will use to participate. Sleuths will simply be sent a Zoom link in order to attend. Sleuths will be able to ask questions to solve the mystery. Character Suspects will also be Sleuths.

Register and scripts and Zoom link will be sent to you.

Please play. It will be fun!
