PASTORS CORNER

Covid19 changed our life (and this sentence became a byword for any article these days) and made us meet new technology. One of them being is ‘Zoom.’ I never heard the name before this long-lasting pandemic.
Now, I’m writing this short pastor’s corner in my kid’s room while my wife and two sons have ‘zoom’ classes in the living room.
Praise God! thankfully, I’m surviving by God’s grace and getting used to the slow internet speed due to the heavy traffic ‘zoom users’ in my place.
Today, after I woke up in the morning, a thought popped into my head “when we live in heaven with God, what would He say about this pandemic that we are going through right now?”
At the time, people would noisily talk about how they were.

“Father, during the pandemic, I lost my grandmother. Were you watching me when I was sad?”
“Lord, I lost my job at the time. I had a hard time dealing with my mortgage.”
“God, to be honest, I had been away from you because I fell depression for a while.”

You may want talk to God about a similar topics, won't you?
Well, let’s save all these moments, whether it’s good or bad, until we arrive at His house.

In 1 Corinthians 13:12, Paul says, “For now, we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”
When I face a trial that I don’t understand, I keep it in my heart to ask God someday later in heaven because all I can do for now is to keep loving Him and desire His peaceful presence in my life.
I’m not dying to know everything around me because I know just in part for now.
However, All I need is the truth that He loves so much of me right now.
That’s enough ‘for now.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Adopt a Senior Program: The Women's MInistry Department is looking for ladies who would be willing to adopt a senior lady by calling and checking in on them during these difficult times. We are also looking for female seniors that would enjoy weekly calls and pray.
If interested, please call CPC church at (905) 725-1121.
The visitation ministry’s mandate is to personally extend God’s love to College Park members who are unable to attend services on a regular basis.

During the first several months of the pandemic, visits to healthcare facilities, as well as to members homes, were discontinued based on provincial guidelines. During the latter part of summer, some facilities began to allow their residents to have outdoor visits for non~essential visitors on a pre~appointment basis.
Check~in screening protocols at all facilities included: a mask to be worn at all times, completion of a medical/travel questionnaire and temperature check.  Social distancing was further safeguarded by a plexiglass shield.  Now, due to recent further restrictions, all visits have been suspended.

In order to maintain a connection with our members over the past nine months, the visitation team have ramped up their phone calls and greeting cards.  Groceries, meals and other packages are being delivered, in addition to transportation to medical appointments.

Please contact the church office if you know of anyone that the visitation team should be connecting with.

“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, ... and be thankful.”
Colossians 3:15
Forgetting our own difficulties and troubles, let us praise God for an opportunity to live for the glory of His name. Let the fresh blessings of each new day awaken praise in our hearts for these tokens of His loving care. When you open your eyes in the morning, thank God that He has kept you through the night. Thank Him for His peace in your heart. Morning, noon, and night, let gratitude as a sweet perfume ascend to heaven.
