Making the 6th District Great Again!

Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans

Earlier this week, in one of the most surreal moments, the US House of Representatives started impeachment proceedings against an outgoing sitting President – Donald Trump.  A vote for one article of impeachment was passed on a 232-197 vote.  Given that the current House of Representatives  has approximately 211 Republicans – this means that at least 14 duly elected Republicans in Congress voted to impeach a Republican president.

The reason given for impeachment is “incitement for insurrection”.   Their proof that Trump led an insurrection?  A statement Trump made which stated and I quote:

"We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time, far longer than this four-year period."

Trump then went onto say:

"Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!" he tweeted at 2:38 p.m. By that point, the mob had already shattered windows as they pushed inside the building.

This is very strange friends.  Donald Trump calls for a peaceful protest.  Something guaranteed in the 1st Amendment.  Rioting starts, he tells the rioters to “STAY PEACEFUL” and to “SUPPORT CAPITOL POLICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT”.  And that means he’s called for an insurrection?  This is ludicrous.  The Democrats and Establishment Republicans who came up with this charade are trying to let us know that they will try to destroy anyone who is not part of what they would call an “in crowd”.  Meaning that we should only nominate people for political office who are acceptable to them.

We voted for Donald Trump because he would speak truth to the power of the DC lobbying class.  Rush Limbaugh said it best a couple years ago when he said:   “The problem with this country is that the politicians fear the donor class more than they do the voting class”.  Truer words were never spoken.

On a side note here, I feel a personal sense of betrayal by Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney, but in retrospect, I should not be surprised.  Let me explain.  See, Liz Cheney and I went to HS together.  I graduated McLean Class of 1982.  She in the Class of 84.  We came from different sides of the track.  Liz was part of the “in crowd” of McLean, a daughter of Congressman Dick Cheney, Liz was a cheerleader, popular, etc.  I hung with the bad boys.  Everyone loved Liz Cheney, she was a beautiful girl.  Every guy had a crush on Liz Cheney.  And she knew this.  Nothing wrong with that.  But Liz would never speak to anyone outside of her social class.  I learned this in my Senior Year.  Walked up to her one day just to say hi, and she looked at me like I was some sort of homeless guy or something.  Will never forget the sneer on her face that day – as if to say “How dare someone like you talk to someone like me – you’re not in my league – get out of here”.  Was our one interaction.

We tend to think that people grow up and once they mature – they become different people.  And no one was happier than the day that Liz Cheney was elected to Congress than I was.   Until just a few days ago – when Liz Cheney announced she was going to vote for impeachment.  I was speechless at first, but then remembered what is above.  She always will consider herself a member of the Upper Class, and to hell with the rest of us.  A leopard never changes their spots.

That is the Establishment class for you.  They are entitled in their own minds, and won’t let you or anyone forget this fact.  Politicians need to learn to fear the voter class – NOT the donor class!

For the record, one thing I love about Ben Cline so much is that he respects the wishes of the voter class of the 6th District more than he worries about the donor class of K Street in DC.   Thank you Ben for looking out for your constituents first and foremost!

In Other Business

I’m still an optimist about our future in 2021.  See, we did rather well in HD 2 last week.  A race we lost by over 20% in 2019, we narrowly lost, but only a couple of hundred votes.  We have our work cut out for us – and it will be an uphill fight – but I still think we can win statewide in 2021.

It has come to my attention that several of you are being “doxxed” by Democratic activists.  I am currently going through dozens of screenshots of allegations of FB bullying and the like.  Please be patient with me on this subject.  But it looks like we’re going to have to make a coordinated effort to stop left wing loons from harming the businesses of GOP activists.  More to follow.  But do remember – I am not your boss, but am your leader.  And an attack of any of you is an attack on me personally and on every conservative activist in CD 6.  I will go to battle for any of you and all of you.  It may take me a couple of days to get things straight.  But I will deal with it – efficiently and brutally.  Anyone who has ever taken me on knows this first hand.

On December 30, I gave the 1st Annual State of the 6th District Address.  I will be posting the text of that in the next Newsletter.  This talks about where we are as an entity, and the future of CD 6, which happens to be very bright.  But more work must always be done.  We can not rest on our laurels.  We got nearly 65% of the vote for Ben Cline, but to ensure Republican victories in 2021, we need to do better than 65%.

Feel free to use the hashtag “#RestoreFreeElectionsandFreeSpeech”.  Earlier today, I donated a few dollars to the My Liberty Social Media Page.  They’re trying to build their own servers to get out from under the thumb of Amazon/Google/Apple.  If MeWe, Parler, or My Liberty asks you for money to help build their own server network – please consider donating to them.  Not a lot, but every dollar helps.  After Ballot integrity/voter fraud, the concept of Big Tech dominating our free speech is a defining moment in American history.

More Letters to the Editor are needed.  Bill Rogers of Shenandoah County wrote this beauty:

Doug Smith of Rockbridge has gotten one published recently as well.  I understand that it's tougher now to get things published as Editors are cracking down on us.  But anything any of you can do is appreciated.

Also remember that VCDL Lobby Day is next week.  You may want to go to Richmond to lobby for Election Integrity or a resolution calling for Big Tech to stand down, or a 2A issue, or whatever issue is important to any of you.

To those who say we should “be still and let God be God”, I say instead – that we have a patriotic and Godly duty to fight for our values.  Jesus wasn’t a sit by and let things occur kinda Savior.  He was the kinda Savior who wasn’t afraid to “physically cleanse the Temple” when it needed to be cleansed.  We are in a battle for the future of this Republic and the Commonwealth.  We must be strong.  We must not falter, failure is not an option.  We must overcome, and we shall overcome.

For those of you who have asked me why I've not removed the pics of Trump and Gade, well Trump is still our President - and shall remain so until his term has ended.

Remember Ephesians 4:26.  Be angry yet sin not. Do not let the sun go down on your anger.  Meaning you have a Biblical duty to be angry, and each of us must work to right the wrong.  And we must not delay, but must act on these things quickly.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart to each of you for all the hard work you are doing, and are going to do.  It is only with your help that we will take back Virginia!

I remain your servant

S John Massoud
