New Wines for the Weekend!
Chateu Lyonnat
2015

A delicious and comforting blend out of the Lussac Saint-Emilion region of France. This red features Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot making this a bold, full bodied wine with plenty of deep character such as a medley of different spices, walnut notes, and a well structured tannic presence. Perfect for a drab winter night whether paired with a hearty meal or just sitting by the fire.

Juama "Disco Special"
2020*

The Disco Special is back! A Shiraz/Grenache blend from one of our favorite Australian winemakers; James Erskine. You'll find vibrant notes of blueberry, some light fizz, and well-realized funk. After consumption, you may spontaneously begin to moonwalk...

*Australian producers vintage their wines late as their growing season differs from most other regions. Though labeled as a 2020 wine, it was produced in 2019.
Short Path "Old Tom" Gin

New in the shop is a take on a classic spirit from one of our local favorites. Old Tom Gin is gin that has been barrel aged, typically in Oak Whisky barrels. Short Path's rendition is ever so slightly sweetened as it hits the barrels and comes out the other side with soft notes of citrus, and vanilla, with plenty of spice on the finish. A perfect substitute for a more nuanced Martini or Tom Collins, I would even recommend trying it in a Negroni.

Laird's Straight Apple Brandy

New in our Brandy section is this gem. A classic, now over 200 years old, this brandy has been the go-to for bartenders for quite some time. At 100 proof it also means business, perfect for mixing, but also a delight to sip neat. Aged for a minimum of 4 years in charred oak barrels you'll get delicious, and robust notes of baked apple and more subtle notes of vanilla and other spices from the charred oak. Another perfect treat to mitigate this messy mid-January weather.
Cheers!
