Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year everyone, I hope you are enjoying our beautiful New Zealand summer. This is just a very quick newsletter to wish everyone a very Happy New Year for 2021 and to tell you about a few new classes and products.
We have an adult dress making class using the lovely Wiksten pattern coming up on Thursday 21st January 2021 with Corrina and the Fremont Bag Class coming up on Thursday 28th January 2021 also with Corrina. Our Monday Sew n Chat classes are up and running every Monday apart from pubic holidays and our Busy Bees Tuesday Classes start on Tuesday 19th January 2021 and our next Hand Stitching class is on Wednesday 27th January 2021.
We have lots of gorgeous Blocks of the Months, fabrics, embroidery threads, kits, patterns and notions to keep you busy, sit back, relax and have a read of our newsletter, and go along and check out our website and remember

Friday 5th and 12th February 2021 10.00 – 1.00 both days. Jean will teach you how to make socks from the toe up so you can try them on as you knit to get the perfect fit and you will also learn how to do socks using the Magic Loop method. It is such a useful skill to learn and they make wonderful gifts. The handmade socks last so much longer than the bought variety and there are such a lovely variety of sock yarns to make them in. The only stipulation with this class is you must buy your yarn here before class.

Come along and learn how to make this cute Boro Drawstring bag with the gorgeous Koki Clips, waxed cotton cord and little tulip cord ends. It can either be made by hand or machine so a very flexible class.

Come along and learn how to make arty greeting cards with your sewing machine. This is a fun class and you will learn how to do free-motion drawing with your needle on your sewing machine. Must have a free motion foot for your sewing machine.

These gorgeous threads are equivalent to a perle 8 thread. They are so luxurious looking when stitched with. Just a joy to stitch. Homegrown uses a selection of Sue's favourite stitches and threads which she encourages you to try, as they add texture and depth to your blocks, what better way to spend your time while cooped up at home. .
The cost for it will be $75.00 per month for 10 months + postage. This is will include all wool fabrics, cottons fabrics for blocks borders and binding + ric racs and ribbons. Threads are not included but I will do a kit for the threads if you want one. You will need to purchase your book separately. We will have these in stock if you need it at $59.90.

Pretty Birds is a tropical bird sampler quilt pattern by Elizabeth Hartman
Cockatoos, toucans, cockatiels, macaws and lorikeets! This flock of feathered friends may not live together in the wild, but seem to be getting along famously in Elizabeth Hartman's latest sampler quilt.

This is another lovely quilt by Sue Spargo that we are doing as a block of the month at the moment. This is available now and is a delight to work on. Sue uses all her stitches in her Creative Stitching book and her lovely perle # 8 perle #5 and perle #3 threads. It is a great way to sharpen up on your embroidery.
This block of the month runs for 11 months and cost $75.00 per month includes all wool fabrics, cotton fabrics, rick racks and ribbons but not your threads.

This block of the month uses a mixture of 100% wool felt and cotton fabrics and has a mixture of hand applique, embroidery and machine piecing so a bit of everything in the one quilt.
