Solcom officials call off “surrender” ceremony after NPA fire shots at helicopter
Senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Southern Luzon Command (AFP-Solcom) were forced to call off a “surrender” ceremony and kick-off of its bogus socio-economic projects in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro last January 9. This was after NPA fighters fired shots at a helicopter that was supposed to fetch the said officers from Sitio Mantay, Barangay Monte Claro. The helicopter took off to avoid damage.
