Are your students not interacting with the content as you would like? Here are some tips and tricks on how to guide students through your instructional materials to ensure they are reviewing the content in a timely and efficient manner.

Spring A Mid-Semester Grades are due today, 02/01/2021, for UCC courses!

Also, don't forget to set up your Missing Submission Policy and Late Grading Policy if you haven't already. Canvas doesn't always bring this over when a course copy is performed and it can save you a lot of time when grading.

Are students not engaging or interacting with the content you so painstakingly curated and created for them? Here are a few tips to ensure your students are using the resources provided to successfully complete their assignments and course objectives.

Setting Module Requirements and Prerequisites

When you add requirements to a module, students must complete the defined requirements within the module before the module will be marked complete. You can require students to complete all requirements in the module, or have them choose one item to fulfill a specific requirement.

Once you set requirements in your modules, you can then set modules as prerequisites. In this way, you can prime students for success by requiring that they interact with certain resources and complete specific activities before they are allowed to move on to the next module or topic.

Design Tools' Quick Checks on Canvas Pages

Did you know you can test students within module pages? You can also require that they complete all the quick check questions before they can proceed to the next page! This is great for quick formative assessments and verifying that students read the materials provided.
