REMEMBERING FILIPPO NICOSIA
On January 15, 2020, Filippo Nicosia, former Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, passed away. He was a person we had the opportunity to work with, achieving excellent results and of whom our team has immense respect and admiration. Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies has dedicated to his memory the Seasonal School: "Issues on China", whose inaugural edition was held online from 9 to 13 November 2020. The teaching materials of that inspiring week are now available online.

Oracle Bone Inscriptions of Shang Dynasty special exhibition
Jiaguwen refers to the inscriptions inscribed on the bones of tortoiseshelds and beasts, most of which are now from Xiaotun Village in Anyang, Henan Province, namely the Yinxu area. The inscriptions in Yinxu are the relics of the Shang royal family and nobles in the late Shang Dynasty (14th-11th century BC). According to the statistics, the number of them has reached about 160,000 pieces. The inscriptions on bone inscriptions in Yin Ruins are extremely rich in contents, which are extremely precious first-hand materials for studying the history of ancient China, especially the history and culture of the Shang Dynasty. On October 17, 2020, the amended Patent Law was adopted by China’s National People’s Congress. The new Patent Law, which comes to force on 1 June 2020, brings substantial changes to China’s patent system.
