Dear friends in Christ,
We're all aware of the pain and problems that are all around us--both personal and corporate. There's so much need and the problems are so huge that it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. On top of that, we are increasingly divided, and that reality came home to us at a whole new level this past week, as we witnessed the breach of our nation's Capitol by angry rioters.
I think it was Mother Teresa who said that prayer doesn't necessarily change things around us; prayer changes us, and we change things by the help of God. Of course, this takes hard work and perseverance, and yet prayer must always be the first step. So, I thank you for your faithful prayer ministry for all who are in need of healing and hope. I also want to invite you to join our prayer vigil on the eve of the Inauguration, January 19, 2021 at 7:30 pm. We will gather via Zoom and Facebook Live, but if these platforms aren't accessible to you, I hope you'll light a candle and pray with us for our nation, for each other, and for yourselves.
Grace and peace be with you always!
