Dear Living Faith Uniting Church Family and Friends
Happy new year!
It's been a topsy turvy start to 2021, but we are so blessed to know that our lives are on the firm rock of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate the turn of a year, we remember that our hope does not lie in a new year, but in Jesus. In addition, we celebrate with deep gratitude whenever we are able to meet in person, knowing that it is a privilege and blessing to be together whenever circumstances allow.
Psalm 91:2 gives us tremendous reassurance, "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Will you consider placing your full trust in God as you head into the new year? He desires to be your refuge and place of safety!
There are exciting plans for this year and we continue to pray for God to bless and infuse our enthusiasm for doing His will. I want to commend to you a course we are starting on Sunday 21 February, "Seven Significant Sentences". Further information is outlined below in this newsletter.
I will continue to communicate further information on other emerging plans our Visionary Team is working on as they are ready. So watch this space!

Sunday 17 January 2021:
Must wear face masks to, at and from church.
We need to be rigorous in keeping 1.5m separation.
Family groups can sit together.
Please vacate the auditorium immediately after the service concludes and not stay around and chat.
Thank you ahead of time for your compliance. We remain grateful that we an still come together at this time.
Seven Significant Sentences
We will be working through a powerful course from Sunday 21 February until Good Friday entitled, "Seven Significant Sentences". These are the seven phrases that Jesus uttered on the cross before His death. We will explore how these moving statements speak into our lives today, so that we may experience God's presence in a whole new and transformative way.
I want to encourage you to engage with the course at Sunday services, through the online videos and through small groups. Part of this course will be the setting up small groups for anyone to join - some of these may be face to face (dependant on government regulations) and others online. I will be communicating some options in terms of days and times when courses are running in the coming weeks. Be ready for a life-changing journey but most importantly, an opportunity for Jesus to touch your life and heart in a meaningful way.
