Dear BARS Member Organizations and TAC representatives,

I am sharing with you the 4Q2020 World Wide Onshore Resource Sector Accident Summary report.

While 2020 saw an increase in contracted aviation sector flights due to the unprecedented grounding of many commercial airline services, we are happy to report that the final quarter of 2020 resulted in no new reported accidents or incidents by BMO service providers in the Onshore Resource Sector.

2020 marks the lowest number of accidents and incidents since we began tracking the data 10 years ago, a significant milestone for the Flight Safety Foundation to highlight as we come to the end of our 10th Anniversary year.

While we are not a safety regulator, we encourage our members to ensure your Aircraft Operator service providers report any accidents and incidents to us as quickly as possible. The data we get from these reports helps us improve the BAR Standard's risk and safety factors, which in turn will give you, our BMO's, greater confidence that your people can come home safely.

If you have any questions about the report, or if you would like to subscribe anyone to the distribution list, please email BARS@flightsafety.org.

Regards,

David Anderson
