Dear Flying Fifteen Sailor

The UK Flying Fifteen Association would like to wish all members a Happy and Healthy New Year; This is the first of what we hope will be a new series of monthly email newsletters, following a positive reception to the one-off Christmas mailings.

We need your help to make this happen though, especially given the obvious lack of any actual sailing happening at the moment. So please dig-out those interesting/educational/embarrasing photos/stories/acedotes and send them in! In the meantime, here are a couple of small items to be going-on with..
Waples Wine Tasting Reminder

Now a reminder of what that wine tasting thingy is all about..:
The 1st ff Invitational Wine Tasting Open for 2021!!
You and your partner are hereby invited to this inaugural Flying Fifteen Invitational wine tasting Open on Friday 22nd January 2021 at 19:00, 4 wines delivered door @ UKP55.00 with a ff tasting card. (please pay on receipt of invoice).

Just imagine, pull up a chair, no driving, no rigging, dressing in sailing clothes, no de rigging, driving home - and the 'what if' conversations, instead it's all the banter, everyone is a winner, and not a rig tensioner or tool box or grease gun in sight!

The number of 4 wines has been as you'd all imagine thought out in true ff virtual style:

1st ~ for the rigging with a glass of something in hand.

2nd ~ haven't we all wanted to open something on the 1st run if only to discuss which leeward mark to round...need a 1.5 mile run to be set for this.

3rd ~ we ask the PRO to set a triangular course on a light air day, totally the reverse of Class regs. ~ for the simple reason of yes, the 3rd bottle, as it's the best option!

4th ~ now this depends, either, open on the way back to shore, or save for the time waiting on the pontoon before being pulled out or share with friends in the park.

Confirmation of Attendance must be by Thursday January 14th @ 11am to justin@wapleswines.co.uk, with delivery address details. Payment by bacs. The invoice details will be in the tasting box.
