Hello!
After a busy startup week, the Hub is continuing virtual support for startup and shifting to ongoing regular support. Please connect with any Hub Team member, or send your questions/needs to teaching@cambriancollege.ca and someone from the Team will respond quickly.
Our focus for the first two weeks, in terms of support and resources for learning, are as follows:
Semester Start Checklist: A useful list to confirm you have all the right elements in your course for student communication and learning.
Course Development Guide: A brief introduction to Moodle elements that are helpful in any context (Virtual courses, Hybrid, HyFlex, and fully online courses).
Contract Faculty Orientation: A great resource for new contract faculty at Cambrian College.
Recorded Professional Development Sessions: From assessments to Moodle to Zoom, here are videos available on these topics and many others from our PD series.
A reminder that we currently have both Padlet and Nearpod available as technology tools for teaching. Please email teaching@cambriancollege.ca for more information if you’re interested in using these tools.
The launch of Grammarly Premium and associated faculty and student resources will likely begin during the week of January 18.
