Now more than ever, we must join together and support HR 1: The For the People Act. This bill aims for an inclusive and representative political system for all. We need a fair and functional democratic system, where votes are counted, anyone can participate, and voices are heard. 

The For the People Act (H.R.1) is a package of proven reforms that would:

• Expand and protect voting rights and access to the ballot;
• Put Americans ahead of Big Money donors, by creating a system of public financing which can reduce candidates’ demand for big donors by amplifying support from constituents;
• End gerrymandering so that electoral districts are fairly drawn;
• Hold our elected officials to higher ethical standards.

What better way to support HR 1 than to join us for Democracy Week?
In collaboration with Declaration for American Democracy, Democracy week is filled with opportunities to urge Congress to pass HR 1. Consider partaking in our National Day of Action this Wednesday.

• Tues. 1/12: Tweetstorm urging the House to pass HR1
• Wed. 1/13: National Day of Action - see scheduled events here 
• Thurs. 1/14: Banner drop and storytelling at monuments across DC
• Fri. 1/15: Letters to the Editor campaign, and mobile billboard in DC
