International Emory Global Health
Case Competition Application
Northwestern is building a team to compete in the International Emory Global Health Case Competition, which will be conducted entirely virtually this year from March 13-21, 2021.

Northwestern's team will compete against other teams from around the U.S. and world.  The team will prepare with the help of NU mentors and resources from Emory between the end of January and the case release on March 13. The team will submit a one-page executive summary and a 10-minute video of their case solution. Teams with the 10 highest first-round scores will receive a cash prize, ranging from $500-6,000. Teams with the six highest scores will advance to the final round of the competition, where they will be required to incorporate a case twist into their presentations. Finalist teams will present virtual, live 10-minute presentations and engage in five minutes of Q&A with judges.

The application is now open to any student in any school and discipline, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. You can learn more about the competition and past students' experiences throughout the years here. If you're ready to apply, click here to access the application. Applications are due by Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:59pm
Call for Abstracts:
Global Health Primary Care Focused
Funding for Faculty
The Institute for Global Health is pleased to share a new call for applications to supporting member faculty projects focused on improving Primary Care services and systems throughout the world.

As defined by the World Health Organization, primary health care is people rather than disease focused care that includes health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care. A primary health care approach includes three components:
  • meeting people’s health needs throughout their lives;
  • addressing the broader determinants of health through multisectoral policy and action; and
  • empowering individuals, families and communities to take charge of their own health.
The Global Health Research Catalyzer and Project Awards are supported by the Feinberg School of Medicine’s Global Health Initiative, which is generously supported by Northwestern Medicine Primary & Specialty Care, its patients, and Feinberg’s donors.

The deadline to apply is February 1, 2021 by 5 p.m. CST.
