Friday the 19th of January
Welcome <<First Name>>,

I'm not sure where our long hot summer has gone, but we are looking for it to return for the last week of the school holidays and for the approaching farm harvest. In the meantime, let's ignore the weather and get out into the garden this weekend. Don't be fooled by the cooler weather, remember to keep watering your vege garden as it can dry out quickly on those very windy days. Let's catch a bit of vitamin D and lift our collective spirits.
Happy gardening,
From The Lushingtons Team

PLANT OF THE MOMENT - HYDRANGEAS!
We now have in stock a huge range that we have grown at our nursery in Allenton!
Hydrangeas have made a big come-back in recent years and are one of the most popular summer shrubs. Their appeal comes from needing little attention but still putting on a brilliant display for months! Big drifts of Hydrangea blooms are a great way of creating an easy-care garden. For a larger area under trees, they are marvellous en masse or can form a show-stopping avenue for shady, woodland paths.
LATEST NEWS | From the Garden
To keep your garden thriving when the soil is being baked by the summer heat, water deeply then apply a thick layer of mulch on all bare ground. The plants will thank you for their cool, moist root run!
COMBAT' ROSE SPRAY 3IN1
Bugs or fungal disease?
'Combat' them!
Well fed, well watered roses are less likely to experience problems but from time to time the weather or infestations dictate that intervention is required. 'Combat' is the only 'three- in- one' spray,  (insecticide, fungicide and fertilizer), especially for roses. It has been developed by the team at Oceangrow, the fish fertilizer people and it works!
We are all doing our best to be more environmentally conscious, so we are now using boxes and newspaper!  Occasionally, we run out of boxes so it would be very helpful if you brought your own box in from time to time. We also offer for sale our attractive, strong reusable bags! Just $3.99ea
