Dear College of Sciences Staff, Students, and Faculty,
I am delighted to share with you today the College of Sciences Strategic Plan: 2021-2030.
Initiated in November of 2019, this new strategic plan has come together as a result of the efforts of many individuals across the College of Sciences community. In particular, I would like to acknowledge and thank our Strategic Planning Committee for their leadership and guidance.
The College’s plan also reflects the work of all those who contributed to the strategic plan that each school produced last spring. The ideas and goals expressed in those plans were critical to the shared development of the College’s plan, created in tandem with the new Georgia Tech Strategic Plan: 2020-2030.
At this point, all members of our community have an opportunity to contribute to the realization of our shared goals. All staff, students, and faculty in the College of Sciences are invited to submit proposals for the funding of activities, projects, and initiatives that are relevant to the goals in the strategic plan and to the metrics of success in the implementation plan.
Funding for this program is provided by the Betsy Middleton and John Clark Sutherland Dean’s Chair in the College of Sciences. Proposals requirements are brief, and submissions are due January 29, 2021.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas on how we can collectively advance the mission of the College in the decade ahead — and to receiving your proposals this month.
Regards,
Susan
