Survey Data

• We saw a large increase in the percent of partner teachers that agree that the curricular resources and mentor videos are strong. 
• A large percent of our partner teachers believe that Cadence Learning is helping  them better support their students and improve their ELA and Math skills.
• A strong majority of our partner teachers are happy that their schools are partnering with Cadence Learning. We are happy to be partnering with you all as well and look forward to continuing our growth!
• Partner teacher scores in general are improving while admin/coach scores have remained stagnant.

1. While partners and admin/coaches are generally happy with our curriculum and videos, this work represents the core of what we do. We are doing internal reviews and frequent feedback to ensure we are continually improving the quality of our curriculum and videos. 
2. We need to engage admin/coaches better. We are committing to continuing with a series of workshops for admin/coaches, and we are going to communicate through our memos specific ways admin/coaches can best support their partner teachers. 

Spring Program Updates  

ELA

ELA 5/6: We are happy to announce that we have updated our Scope & Sequence with the readings for Unit 5 and Unit 6. Unit 5 will be a collection of short stories and we will be finishing the school year in Unit 6 with the award winning novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet, the story of 12 year old Lolly Rachpaul navigating growing up in Harlem and the power of healing through community and creativity.  

Science

Grades 3-5: Science content will begin this week. Materials will be uploaded to the Science 3-5 folder in the Partner Teacher drive. We have also updated the 3-5 Science Scope & Sequence with the topics and NGSS standards for each week's lessons. 

Grades 6-8: Science content will begin this week 19. Teachers will be provided 2 weekly lessons with a MT Video, Lesson Overview, and Student Work including pre-lab, post-lab and weekly assessments. Wistia links will be posted weekly in the Scope & Sequence located in the 6-8 Science folder as well as posted in the Workflow in each week's Workflow. In addition to these changes we will be providing training sessions and office hours with our S2S instructor, Gary Sarkis (garysarkis@students2science.org). If you were not able to attend last weeks training sessions please see the times below, as a reminder all admin as well as teachers teaching science content are expected to attend ONE training sessions.
