State eviction protections are set to expire at the end of this month. As people of faith, we believe our families deserve to have safe, affordable housing and stay in their homes. Our collective well-being depends on it.

As millions of Californians have lost work and wages during this pandemic, our state elected officials must decide who they stand with: corporate interests, or communities struggling to get by and pay rent and mortgages. In San Mateo County alone, over 15,000 will be at risk for eviction, unless our state government takes decisive action.

We are urging California's elected leaders to ban evictions through 2021 by passing AB 15 now and to act boldly by forgiving rent and protecting families from long-term debt.

Call your legislators using this online guide to demand that they pass AB 15 immediately, which will limit evictions for nonpayment of rent through the end of 2021.
