The Philip and Lynn Straus Curator of Prints and Drawings - Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY 

  • Day-to-day and long-range planning for the collection regarding preservation; cataloguing; interpretation through exhibitions and publications; donor stewardship, and working closely with the staff of the museum and campus partners in formulating policies, procedures, and goals. Responsible for acquisitions through gift and purchase of prints and drawings based on collection needs and market availability. Plans significant exhibitions drawn from the Loeb Art Center's holdings of prints and drawings and from private and public collections. Works closely with editors, designers, and publishers to prepare publications, invitations, banners, exhibition-related text and banners, and other marketing materials. Answers reference inquiries about the collection and facilitates access to the database of objects in the collection. Plans and leads visits for researchers, classes from Vassar students and regional colleges, and outside groups. 
Librarian 1, Archives - Salt Lake City Community College, Salt Lake City, UT
  • Oversees the physical archives, including processing and curating materials, creating and maintaining digital and physical finding aids, managing research requests and access to the physical archives, and preparing and selecting materials for digitization and inclusion in the SLCC Institutional Repository. Oversees the digital archives' collection. Selects and prepares materials from physical archives for digitization and inclusion in the College's Digital Archives. Supervises the metadata generation for and preservation of the SLCC Digital Collections and the SLCC Archives. Assists faculty, staff, and students with queries and retrieval of materials related to College history, events, and past publications. Works closely with the Educational Initiatives & New Media Librarian to ingest the digital archives materials into the SLCC Institutional Repository. Works closely with the Office of Risk Management on records management and retention. Oversees, develops, and maintains the Library’s physical special collections. Works with faculty, staff, and administrators in obtaining materials and artifacts for the special collections. 
Senior Archivist - Museum of Science, Boston, MA 
  • Manages 3,500 linear feet of archival collections including documents, audiovisual media, artwork, published works, and other materials; plus approximately 25 TB of digital assets across the Museum's departments. Oversees the accessioning, arrangement, description, and preservation of the Museum's archival materials to ensure that they are preserved. Creates policies, procedures, and workflows for the Museum and working across divisions to identify and transfer historically relevant records for permanent retention. Monitors all archives spaces as well as inventorying the archival holdings. Writes grants to support various projects including web and digitization projects. Provides reference services for internal staff and external researchers seeking to use the Museum's archival materials. 

Lead Preparator - Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth, Hanover, NH

  • Works with the registrar and exhibitions manager in the planning, design, preparation, and installation of the museum’s exhibitions program, and facilitates permanent collections access. Supervises the preparators to facilitate installation of works of art for exhibition, including developing and creating mounts necessary for the safe display of all objects, accomplishing the archival matting and framing of works on paper, working with outside specialists, and collaboratively developing and installing new media presentations. Makes design recommendations for all museum exhibitions, installations, and object displays in alignment with the curatorial vision for each. Participates in the development and implementation of installation production schedules and assigns responsibilities to the preparators with realistic timelines. Supports the museum’s commitment to teaching with objects by supporting all classroom and museum-based programs.
Archives Technician - National Archives and Records Administration, Spanish Lake, MO
  • Provides written and oral reference assistance and consultations, responds to all forms of inquiry concerning NARA's archival holdings by using complex finding aid systems and related archival sources in analog and digital format. Performs detailed and complex arrangement work and independently evaluates the physical condition of records in the course of other duties and alerts supervisor or other designated staff to condition problems. Prepares online catalog descriptions of holdings at all levels according to NARA lifecycle standards, policies, and procedures. Assists in accessioning and disposal of all record types under the guidance of an archivist or archives specialist. Greets visitors, assists with registration; conducts orientation briefings for onsite researchers, as required; and directs researchers to appropriate NARA resources as necessary. Utilizes multiple Point of sale (POS) and case management systems to process fees and ensuring customer requests are updated.
Digital Collections Management Librarian - Penn State University, University Park, PA 
  • Provides leadership in coordinating digital collection building, repository management and oversight of digital collections within multiple concurrent digitization streams. Ensures timely and effective online access to collections. Coordinates and develops practices, policies, and workflows for the lifecycle and ongoing preservation of digital collections and legacy digital content. Oversees and manages digitization of selected materials by outside vendors and supervises the Digital Production Team. 
  • Designs and manages a user-centered, access-driven, and reparative-focused approach to processing archival collections across a wide range of collecting areas. Supervises Special Collections Archives staff and processing workflows. Coordinates, plans, prioritizes appraisal, accessioning, processing, arrangement, and description of archival materials in all formats. Supervises the preparation of finding aids to provide access to the collections. Assists in the management of storage for the collections, including inventory and arrangement of materials. Coordinates and assists in prioritizing the preservation, conservation, and security needs of the collections. Actively contributes to the field of archives and libraries. 
Supervisory Librarian - national Agricultural Library (NAL), Beltsville, MD
  • Identifies, procures, and maintains digitization hardware and software. Administers appropriate techniques for the preservation and conservation of library materials. Oversees methods and techniques for storage and conservation of all library materials including archival storage for digital content. Manages sustainable digitization projects, including scope, cost, collaboration with other departments/institutions, timeline, delivery, and promotion strategies. Manages library collection programs and services. 
Emerging Technologies Librarian and Archivist - Oklahoma State University, Okmulgee, OK
  • Administers, promotes, and maintains the Tech To-Go program and equipment by exploring new technologies, developing new services, and collaborating with OSUIT community to determine its technological needs. Oversees and promotes the 3D printing program, including the 3D Printing Lab. Provides and schedules instruction and programming for 3D printing. Develops and manages emerging technology programs, provides leadership to and promotes awareness of new and emerging technologies to improve the patron experience and library services. Selects materials for the library's collection in accordance with other staff librarians adhering to stipulated budget. Maintains and preserves the integrity of archival items through examination, documentation, analysis, research and preventative maintenance methods. Responds to research inquiries and supervises access to archives and collections. Responsible for digitization of archive and collections materials for virtual access. Maintains exhibits, storage areas, repository, or other areas where archives or collections are in use or storage. Serves as point of contact for OSIUT records retention and disposition information.
