I'm hoping your website is fully compliant with the new price transparency rules, effective 1/1/21.
Over the last 10 days, Hospital Pricing Specialists has been contacted by 2 hospitals that received letters from vendors pointing out non-compliance issues in their websites. Each letter offered the company's services to rectify the non-compliance issues and pointed out that a simple complaint to CMS could trigger an audit. In both of these examples, this heavy-handed approach to get business backfired on these vendors. Besides contacting Hospital Pricing Specialists for assistance, these hospitals have essentially "black balled" these vendors for their veiled threats.
In my opinion, this is completely dirty pool to notify a hospital of compliance issues and then threaten to report them if they don't hire you. If you received one of these letters, please feel free to reach out to us to do a free risk assessment to see if the vendor letter has any merit. Rest assured that you'll be in good hands with HPS.
