2020 Year End Financial Report

This has been a challenging year for Village.  While it might not have been what “we” had wanted or planned, God has remained faithful to Village.

Based upon our 2019 year-end giving, we started 2020 with a $2.85M budget. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and our services were forced to shift to online only while many Villagers experienced financial hardship. We began to see a 17 to 20% reduction in our giving and facility fee revenues.  As a result, we implemented restricted spending and put a hold on some of our planned ministry staff hires. We also applied for and received a $364K Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loan under the federal CARES Act which was earmarked for payroll and certain operating expenses...(click below to continue reading)

Condolences

Please join others at Village in praying for Dale and Pauline Aufrecht in the homegoing of her brother, Harold Rempel, on Thursday, January 7. The family was making plans for a service in his memory this week. Pauline and Harold grew up as the two oldest in a family of six children.

Goodbye Gift for Pastor Renjy

As Pastor Renjy Abraham let us know last Sunday, he is stepping down from Village staff at the end of the month, solely focusing on his work as Dean of Spiritual Life and Cultural Integration at Multnomah University. Pastor Renjy has served Village for over 16 years, and leaves an indelible mark on our community. So many of us have personal stories and experiences with Pastor Renjy, so we ask you to actually write one or two down on a card to give to him as a compilation of the impact of his ministry to us. You can mail or drop off cards to our Front Office until the end of the month, or to send a digital memory, you can do so here: Favorite Renjy Memory

To stay in contact with Pastor Renjy, please know his Village email will be available through the end of the month, and after that he has his professional Multnomah email.
