A New Year

<<First Name>>,

As we contemplate the beginning of a new year, there can be this sense that everything is new. We make goals to go a new direction. In extraordinary times like 2020, we try to put it all in the rearview mirror. In ministry, we can feel like we have to come up with some amazing forecast for the year ahead. But the reality is twofold. First, things do not tend to turn on a dime, even though we may want them to. Second, God is constantly engaged in transformation, not just at the beginning of the year.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 NLT

As we have been navigating COVID, I have regularly heard, "Everything's different now." But is it really? Has God's character and nature changed? Has human nature changed - the desire to be known, loved, touched - to have identity and purpose? No, those things have not changed. Our methods might change, but the foundations of who God is and who we are has not changed.

In the year ahead at Mid-Valley Fellowship, we are not working on dramatic changes. We will be ready for challenges that come by trusting that God will supply what we need. We will focus on consistently engaging with what God has for us and reflecting his constancy in that.
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.  But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught.

You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2
Timothy 3:12‭-‬17 NLT
We look forward to what God will do in the year ahead and invite you to continue partnering with us through praying, volunteering, and giving. You can even partner by simply sharing about Mid-Valley Fellowship with someone you know.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Reflecting on Our Season of Giving

Our recent Season of Giving was very encouraging! Not only did we, all together, raise $44,302 towards our goal of $49,000, we were also able to hear from some ministry partners sharing their reasons for supporting MVF.

You can view these videos on the Season of Giving page.
