Welcome 2021!

As we walk into this New Year with open arms, we know that God has a bright hope and a future for us. The New Year brings responsibilities for us. It is our duty to take up these responsibilities and loyally work towards achieving them. It is not the time to mourn over what was or what used to be. It is time for a fresh start! Some of us have gone from one deep struggle to the other, while some of us have had a relatively good year. The new calendar has most of us desperately seeking for things to be better. For Covid-19 to be gone forever, jobs restored and life returned to a more normal state.

Whatever your 2020 was like, one truth rings clear through it all.

You are not alone. Not ever!

We know that God has a hope and a future for us. We can leave 2020 knowing that God causes all things to work together for our good, because He loves us, and we have been called according to His purposes. Christmas is a reminder that God has the power to carry us into a fresh, new start. Immanuel, God with us, is here as we usher in 2021. As things shift and change in our world, our God never changes.

Jesus says, "Trust me! I have everything under control."

Our response is: "Have your way, oh Lord, and wherever you lead us, we will follow!"

Welcome 2021! God is with us!

Our Interim Pastor, Dr. Ken Alford, will be beginning a new series of messages next Sunday from the book of Acts, chapters one through ten.  This 12-part series will be entitled, “Church on Fire.”  Please pray for Dr. Ken as he brings these messages and plan to be here in person or watch them on line.  Pray that God would ignite a fresh fire in our Pleasant Ridge church family!

Dance class will resume January 11, 2021, at 7:00 PM at the CFLC.
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is January 17, 2021. We will be collecting a special offering for Sav-A-Life. There will be baskets throughout the church for you to place your offering. Please designate on the envelope that it is for Sav-A-Life.
     Every year The Baptist Foundation of Alabama distributes over $500,000 in scholarship awards from more than 100 scholarship funds. The application process for scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year opened January 1 and will close March 31. Applications are accepted online only and can be accessed at http://tbfa.org/scholarships/.
 
Wednesday evening activities will not resume until further notice.
We will continue to stream our Sunday morning services live on our Youtube channel and our Facebook page. 
Throughout this crisis, your giving is incredibly important to the survival of the church. There are several ways you can give. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness. 

1. In-person - You can drop your tithes into the dropbox by the church office. This box will be checked daily for security purposes.

2. By mail - You can mail your tithes to the church at 1343 Hueytown Rd., Hueytown, AL 35023.

3. Online - You can give online at Pleasantridgebaptist.org/give or through the Realm App/website. 

4. By text - You can text your tithes to the church by texting "Pleasantridgebc" to 73256
