Once your information has been submitted, staff will fill out a raffle ticket for you.
So be sure to include name and a good phone number to reach you!

You're also welcome to come into the library during business hours, and purchase tickets at the front desk with cash.
All sales will be final, and no refunds issued.

Only 600 tickets total will be sold, and will sell up until the winner announcement on February 8, 5:00 PM, or if we sell out completely beforehand.
We will call the winner two times.
Winner MUST ANSWER BY THE SECOND CALL to win, or we will draw again.

All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Longview Public Library and go towards Summer Reading Club funds that help keep events and activities for kids entirely free to attend.

Join Library staff as they perform an easy science experiment that you can do at home with your family.
The science behind the experiment or concept will be explained and we'll show you some resources the Library has on the subject.

This month’s theme: ART!
Yes, science, technology, engineering, and math can include aspects of art and design!

Here's a list of supplies you can gather ahead of time:
• Paper and Pencils or Simple Coloring Sheets
• Liquid Glue
• Kosher Salt
• Watercolors
• Paintbrush
• Cup of Water
• Cotton Swabs
• Washable or Tempera Paint
• Paper Plate
• Piece of Cardboard (Optional)
• Trashcan (Optional)

Blind date options for all ages throughout February!

Love is in the air!
It’s library tradition that we bring you Blind Date With a Book every February as readers search for their perfect book match.

We’ll have individually wrapped books for all ages set aside to checkout.

Head to the respective displays in the library, read the brief description of the mystery book and pick whichever one you think will make a great date!
Tell the number to the librarians at the desk, and they’ll retrieve that book for you to checkout. No peeking at your receipt!
Once you get home, unwrap and read. Hopefully it’s a good match!
We’ll be doing this all month, so if you get done and want to go on another date, just repeat the process.

Adults, you even have a prize opportunity!
After you get done reading, fill out the attached survey and tell us how your date went.
Bring that back and your name will be entered into a raffle for a goodie basket!

Library staff will curate up to 10 items for you that we think you'll like.
Please allow 5-7 days for us to get your selections ready.
We can pull suggestions for all ages!
Then those items will be put on hold for you, and you'll be notified your holds are ready for pickup!
