Are We Still Together?

Ghislain Brown-Kossi

A French artist based in Vancouver, Ghislain Brown-Kossi’s work aims to understand how individuals interact with each other and how social relationships are transformed. As time passes he wonders if, as a society, we will break the walls and barriers between our diverse communities. People often fear new comers and change, but at the same time they would like to know more about them. “Are We Still Together”, addresses the feeling of disconnection, and spurs a dialogue in our communities.

Call for Photos

Send photos of your Garden Escapes by February 28th for a chance to have them painted for a Summer 2021 exhibition at PoMoArts.

Painters Marney-Rose Edge and Claire Sower are collaborating to create Garden Escapes, an exhibition at PoMoArts that reflects their love of florals and the garden spaces they grow in.

Gardens in our yards, on our decks, or the public gardens where we gather have become even more of a place of refuge, calm and diversion during the pandemic. The heightened importance of the social and mental benefits of these spaces inspired the artists to add to their exhibition artwork by inviting people to share their photos of garden spaces they find colourful, restful or beautiful. The artists will select from the submitted photos and paint a few of them to show in the exhibition. Each of the artists have different styles; with Marney-Rose focusing on painting detailed florals, while Claire enjoys painting the broader view garden vistas.
