Election TODAY, January 5 and DeKalb Delegation Town Halls Jan 9 & 12
Georgia’s Election  Day is TODAY, Tuesday, Jan 5th and we could not be more excited!
Are you all set to vote?  We've got you covered. Here's your voting checklist: If you or anyone you know has any issues voting tomorrow, please call the Voter Protection Hotline at 888-730-5816 at any time. If a voice hotline is not accessible to you, please text the accessible textline at 833-566-1212.

Two more things:
  • → If you requested but did not receive your absentee ballot in the mail, you need to vote IN PERSON! Simply tell the poll worker you applied for an absentee ballot, but that you did not receive it.

  • As long as you are IN LINE by 7:00 PM on Tuesday, you will be able to cast your ballot. So stay in line!
Thank you so much for exercising your right to vote!

Election State of Play and Be Patient

We are expecting this election to be a long process. Here are the happenings in Georgia and what Fair Fight would like everyone to know as we approach the next 36 hours:

State  of Play: Over 3,001,013 Georgians have voted for the runoffs to date.

  • 2,072,947 voted early in-person, while
  • 928,066 of those votes came from mailed ballots.
  • 112,886 Georgians who did not vote in the general election have already voted in the runoff.
  • 22% are under the age of 25, a group that comprises 12% of registered voters in the state.
  • African American voters account for 40.2% of the 112,886 Georgians who have voted in the runoff, but didn't vote in the general election.
  •  32.3% of registered voters in the state are African American.”

HOWEVER, this election will be too close to call. We must remain vigilant from Tuesday until the end of day Friday. This race could go either way.

Be Patient: As Stacey Abrams said  yesterday, “Election day evening,  we must remain calm and patient as we wait for election workers to do their job safely. After Georgians do our part by casting our ballots, it is time to trust the process and the people making our democracy work.”

I have been excited by the amazing energy demonstrated by the Georgia Democrats organizing team and the volunteers who are showing up to canvas and Get Out the Vote!  Many thanks to neighbors Elisa and Thad Kodish for opening their driveway and garage for an operations staging area for several weeks, and the hundreds of volunteers, including my neighbor Suzanne Shanavez, who have spent a part of their winter holiday contacting voters throughout DeKalb!  Every vote counts!  #TurnOutGA
So great to connect with dozens of active DeKalb Democrats, like Rhonda Mangum, at the Dr. Bronner's Vote Float at Flakes Mill before canvassing this weekend!
