EU Action Plan Towards a Zero Pollution Ambition: air, water & soil
As part of the European Green Deal, the EU has announced its aim to move towards a zero-pollution system. This consultation aims to gather information and opinions on how the EU Action Plan “Towards a Zero Pollution Ambition for Air, Water, and Soil” can most effectively prevent, remedy, monitor, and report pollution to secure clean air, water, and soil across Europe.
The feedback period closes on 10 February 2021 at midnight CET.

Ocean observation: sharing responsibility
The European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) has improved the EU’s ocean observation capacity. However, more work is still needed to rationalise these observations and define priorities. This consultation aims to gather information and opinions about key ocean-observation challenges, including instrument design, monitoring campaigns, and measurement analysis.

A fundamental transport transformation: Commission presents its plan for green, smart and affordable mobility
The European Commission presented today its ‘Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy’ together with an Action Plan of 82 initiatives that will guide our work for the next four years. This strategy lays the foundation for how the EU transport system can achieve its green and digital transformation and become more resilient to future crises. As outlined in the European Green Deal, the result will be a 90% cut in emissions by 2050, delivered by a smart, competitive, safe, accessible and affordable transport system.

Horizon Europe : Council presidency reaches political agreement with the European Parliament
The EU has come closer to adopting its next multiannual framework programme for research and innovation. The German presidency of the Council today reached a provisional political agreement with the European Parliament's negotiators on the proposed regulation establishing Horizon Europe, the EU framework programme for research and innovation for the years 2021 to 2027.
