SBA Launches Largest Expansion of
Women’s Business Centers in 30 Years

20 Women’s Business Centers to Open Across America
Supporting Women-Owned Small Businesses

We are excited to share with our clients, partners and supporters that ACE Women’s Business Center will open a new location in the upcoming months in Savannah, Georgia.

SBA’s WBCs are a national network of 136 centers that offer one-on-one counseling, training, networking, workshops, technical assistance, and mentoring to women entrepreneurs on numerous business development topics, including business startup, financial management, marketing, and procurement. “Opening the doors to the new Women’s Business Centers is crucial to the vitality of women-owned small business owners.  This network expansion will provide female entrepreneurs with the resources they need to start, grow, and expand their businesses,” said SBA's Associate Administrator for the Office of Entrepreneurial Development Allen Gutierrez.  “We look forward to the continued success of the WBC program as it contributes to the overall health of our economy and creates jobs in their local communities.”

More to come as we continue to progress on the opening of our new ACE Savannah Women’s Business Center.

Small Business and Nonprofit Remote Pro Bono Clinic

Several major Atlanta law firms and the State Bar of Georgia have partnered together to offer free legal advice to small businesses on pressing coronavirus-related concerns, such as federal relief programs and employment matters, through a free legal clinic. In response to the devastating economic impact of COVID-19 on small businesses and nonprofits, the Small Business and Nonprofit Remote Pro Bono Clinic assists nonprofit organizations and small businesses with 25 or fewer employees who can benefit from a consultation regarding legal issues they are facing as a result of the pandemic.

The services are offered in a virtual clinic format in which small businesses are paired with attorneys who can offer assistance in areas related to federal loan relief, lease modifications, insurance, tax, employment, contract enforcement and bankruptcy/dissolution.
