Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

Dear <<First Name>>

ANRA Technologies had its best year ever and we thank you for your support.  We have many exciting projects in the pipeline that you will soon see in 2021.

FAA Drone Remote ID Rule. Santa added a FAA rule to our stocking, learn more by visiting this blog. ANRA has been pioneering Broadcast-RID trials and evaluations since 2019 in which broadcasting drones transmit RID advertisements continuously and a Display App on a smartphone uses the smartphone’s technology to listen for the drone advertisements, extracts the RID data, and then displays the live drone location on a map along with its historical path. Remote ID will assist the FAA, law enforcement, and Federal security agencies when a UAS appears to be flying in an unsafe manner or where the drone is not allowed to fly.

NASA AAM NC X3. ANRA concluded Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Campaign (NC) testing for X3 scenarios.  ANRA took part in Developmental Airspace Simulation as an industry partner to test Urban Air Mobility (UAM) traffic management capabilities in robust NASA-designed airspace simulations to demonstrate key integrated operational UAM scenarios.  ANRA provided airspace management services in addition providing the Discovery and Synchronization (DSS) for all participants in the NC.

Tech100 Award. The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) announced the 2020 NVTC Tech 100, a list of groundbreaking companies, leaders and innovators within the region’s technology community. ANRA Technologies is proud to have been selected as one of the honorees for the third year in a row.

Beyond UTM. UTM provides a means to overcome the technical problem of operating drones beyond visual line-of-sight by means of a core of basic set of services supporting key requirements. For routine, sustainable operations, end-users and operators will require tailored services that cater to the environment, sector or geography for drone operations. Supplementary Data Service Supplier (SDSP) services will enhance the core or regulated services to enable improvements in the service levels for UAS operations by providing additional information to support a UTM actor. Read more about SDSP’s in a blog authored by our own Dr Ajay Modha.

UK CAA Sandbox. The CAA Innovation Sandbox, launched in May 2019, offers innovative companies the chance to collaborate over emerging concepts.. ANRA Technologies is a part of a highly innovative project together with Trax International, uAvionix, and Plane Finder to demonstrate BVLOS operations in non-segregated airspace in the United Kingdom. This project has been accepted as a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Sandbox partner. The Sandbox will allow the project consortium to work closely with the CAA as the project transitions from research to trials and onto demonstrations. Along the way, the project will provide information to help shape UAS regulations in the UK.

Switzerland Remote ID. ANRA launched SmartSkiesTM DroneID in partnership with the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and Swiss U-Space Implementation (SUSI) to remotely identify drones in Switzerland. Approved by the Swiss government, SmartSkiesTM DroneID provides appropriate levels of access to drone info based on user permissions with just a few clicks.

As always, please reach out to us with your questions, thoughts, comments, feedback, and one of our team members will be glad to engage with you.

Blue Skies,
Your ANRA Team
