Hello School Board Members and Superintendents,
A warm welcome to each of you who are newly elected trustees! New faces bring new perspectives and energy to your school boards and to our county as a whole. CCCSBA was formed with the purpose of creating opportunities for school board members across Contra Costa county to share, learn, and advocate together. We hope to see you at our upcoming meetings, but in the meantime don't hesitate to reach out. We have many experienced board members who are happy to help point you to available resources and information. We also highly recommend the CSBA MIG (Masters in Governance) course. Thank you for stepping up to serve your school community to make quality public education accessible to all students.
Invitation to January General Meeting
We hope everyone will join us for our next CCCSBA meeting on Thursday, January 28, 2021, 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Zoom, which will include a presentation on the Governor's Proposed 2021-2022 Budget.
Our guest speaker, Dennis Meyers, Assistant Executive Director Governmental Relations for the California School Boards Association, does a great job providing a perspective oriented to what school board members need and want to know about budget proposals.
The meeting will be held on Zoom. Register in advance. Immediately after registering, you'll be emailed a unique-to-you URL to join the Zoom meeting, from cccsba.info@gmail.com. We recommend that you add that link to your calendar to allow you to easily join the meeting.

CCCSBA Board of Representatives
The CCCSBA Board of Representatives is composed of one representative from each of our member districts. They are the governing board of CCCSBA. For convenience, we concurrently schedule these meetings with our general meetings and programs which all trustees and superintendents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
If your district needs a new CCCSBA representative or chooses to select a new representative, please do so ASAP and let us know who it is by sending an email to cccsba.info@gmail.com.
If you are the representative from your district please stay on for the Board of Representatives meeting. We will be selecting the nominating committee that will choose the CCCSBA officers for the July 2021-June 2022 term. The agenda with links to the minutes and financial report will be emailed prior to the meeting.
