NOMINATE A YOUNG PERSON TO SHARE THEIR MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY STORY AT SYNOD!
Blessings of Joy & Justice this New Year from the UCC Mental Health Network!
We thank you for providing hope and support to your congregants and your community during all the stress, loss, and challenges we’re all facing, particularly your ministry to youth and young adults. We know mental health challenges profoundly impacted young people before and during COVID, and we want to honor their stories of struggle and recovery. At the 33rd UCC Synod, July 16-20, 2021, the Rev. Dr. Sarah Lund, UCC Minister or Disability and Mental Health Justice, will invite a junior high or high school-aged youth to share their story of recovery with mental health challenges on the Synod’s virtual "main stage."
We are reaching out to you, our WISE Network, to nominate one or more of your youth to share their story at Synod by sharing your name, their name, parent/guardian's name, email, phone number, and why you nominate them to speak at Synod to Rev. Dr. Lund at lunds@ucc.org by January 13, 2021.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Rev. Dr. Sarah Lund directly at lunds@ucc.org.
