Tri-county area to begin Covid-19 vaccination of seniors 75 and up [Free]

People 75 and older may begin receiving the Covid-19 vaccine as early as Wednesday in Brunswick and Pender County and Thursday in New Hanover County, health officials from all three counties announced Tuesday afternoon.

Rouzer says he intends to vote against election certification in Congress

Rep. David Rouzer announced Monday he will be voting against certifying the 2020 presidential election, according to a press release. He is advocating for the idea spearheaded by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex) to establish an electoral commission to perform a 10-day audit of the election results. READ MORE

Local law enforcement slightly upping the usage of aviation unit each year

The Wilmington Police Department presented to the council Monday on the value of the Southeastern NC Air-Borne Law Enforcement (SABLE) aviation unit for the city and surrounding areas.

In 2020 the aviation unit flew a total of 264 hours, a slight increase from the previous year. READ MORE
