VOTING PROCESS
Only CSA property-owning Members may vote on the proposal. Members are adult (18+ years old) individuals who are beneficial owners of or who are named as owners on the deed or legal instrument (Trust, LLC, etc.) pursuant to which title is held on the property of Congregational Summer Assembly.
A vote of the Members is required because the proposed seawall would be on CSA common property and a 2/3 majority of those Members present at the meeting is required to pass the motion ( See Bylaws, Section B1 Bi).
There is only one vote per property no matter how many names are on the deed. If there are multiple owners on a deed/LLC/Trust, then the multiple owners need to decide among themselves how to cast their single vote. If multiple owners from the same property vote, your vote will only be counted once and if they vote differently, they will be cancelled and none of the votes will count, even though the property will still be counted for quorum purposes. So, please designate a Primary Contact to vote for your property.
