Request for Applications: Pathogens Pathway Study for Children under two years old in Northwestern Kenya


Photo of a man with camelsPRO-WASH is pleased to announce the release of this Request for Applications (RFA), which will fund one award up to $200,000 USD for a study period of up to eight months beginning in early 2021.

This RFA is designed to provide innovative, context-specific research on strategies for interrupting fecal-oral transmission and reduce overall environmental contamination for the Nawiri (Mercy Corps) Resilience Food Security Activity in Northwestern Kenya.

Submissions are due by 5 PM ET on Friday, February 5, 2021. Applications (to include proposal and detailed budget) must be submitted electronically to prowash@savechildren.org. Questions? Email PRO-WASH before the open comment and question period ends on 5 PM ET on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Request for Information (RFI): Research and Innovation for Sustainable, Evidence-based Nutrition (RISEN) | Deadline: January 31, 2021
USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) has posted an RFI to inform the design of an anticipated procurement named Research and Innovation for Sustainable, Evidence-based Nutrition (RISEN). The RFI lays out a general set of challenges faced by USAID and its partners, followed by areas where information is sought. Responses will be used to develop a set of objectives that BHA wishes to achieve through the RISEN program.

Virtual Traning: Epidemiology and Modeling of Infectious Diseases in the Humanitarian Setting | Deadline: January 31, 2021
The goal of this training is to equip participants with foundational infectious disease epidemiology and modeling concepts and basic skills to interpret common data that is available for humanitarian emergencies. Designed for NGO leadership, program managers, and technical advisors, this training will include 2 hours of online, self-paced video modules, and approximately 6 hours of live training, over the course of 2 weeks.
