Club Membership Announcements

Please Welcome 6 Members.

Aaron Gray

Aaron has been involved in Rotary Electric since we began planning and has advised on finance, legal matters, and club organization.  Aaron is a Rotary Electric Club Board member.   Aaron has a strong technology background and he is the Operations Manager for Highway Specialties.  He is a graduate of MSU with Business Management.  Aaron is involved in the Ski Club, he is an active small plane pilot, enjoys traveling, and staying active.

Hillary Shepherd

Hillary, a Great Falls native, is in charge of the Great Falls Symphony as the Executive Director and she is also responsible for starting the Broadway Series. Hillary believes that Great Falls is one of America’s best kept secrets — the ability to create the “American Dream” is much more attainable here than anywhere I know. Her philosophy is that if Great Falls is lacking something that you’d like to have, then make it happen. (some content referenced from the Great Falls Tribune)

Jolene Schalper

Jolene is Senior Vice President Business Development for the Great Falls Development Authority.  She is co-owner of Kellergeist Pub Theater.  Jolene has been involved with many non-profit boards and community development projects.  Jolene is CEO Mom for Tate, Meguire, and Simon, Inc., which include chauffer, housekeeper, head chef, nurse, trainer, tutor, entertainer, judge, and jury.

Lindsey Bullock

Lindsey is a Master Sergeant with the Air Force.  She has been stationed across the world, including several deployments, and she is currently the Transportation Office Chief at Malmstrom.  Lindsey has lived in Great Falls for 4 years.  Lindsey has a degree in Health Care Management, she is involved in the Great Falls Ski Club, enjoys outdoor activities, and taking care of her shelter pets.

Matthias Schalper

Matthias is a founding member of Gaelectric, which is how he found himself in Great Falls in 2011.  Mathias fell in love with Great Falls and decided to stay.  Matthias does energy consulting through his company Context-Alternative and is a Mechanical Engineer with a degree through the University of Siegen.  Being from Germany gave him the idea of bringing a bit of Germany and Europe to Great Falls via Kellergeist Pub Theater, which he also co-owns.

Spencer Woith

Spencer has been the President of Woith Engineering since 2004. He brings a different perspective to engineering and land surveying projects since he has had an ownership stake in many of the projects Woith Engineering designs. Spencer is well connected across Montana, active in business and historic development, he has engineer degree from MSU and will bring many talents to Rotary Electric.

January Service Project - District Grant
Jordyn, Jana, and Zach designed a district grant submission to benefit residents in transitional housing including 10 women and 6 children at the Great Falls YWCA Mercy Home and 14 veterans at the Great Falls Grace Home Veterans Center. A total of 30 individuals will be served.  Excess funds will go towards the Great Falls Public School Food Bank.   Rotary Electric committed to matching any funds that might be awarded through members, the club, and business donations.  If you would like a copy of the grant submission please contact Jordyn, Jana, or Zach.

Grant Update 1-6-2021
Jordyn, Jana, and Zach are ramping up efforts to purchase items for the COVID-19 care packs that support the Grace Home and Mercy Home. We are asking all club members to donate any amount and/or volunteer time, to help us match about $500 of the $1,500 District grant we received. Donations will purchase items for the care packs, and volunteers from the club will be needed to assemble them around the last week in January (more details to come).  If you’d like to help out in any way, please reach out to Zach Swartz.

A short update will be provided tomorrow night during our club meeting.

To provide a donation write a check to Rotary Electric Club of Great Falls, PO Box 1633, Great Falls, MT 59403.  (soon we'll be able to process online donations and dues).

The board of directors will be working to finalize and publish our club mission, vision, and charter in January.  We will be scheduling time to document and further define our club.  These planning meetings are open to all members.   Anyone interested in attending let us know and we'll be announcing key meeting dates on January 7th once finalized.
