AES Equity Committee
The Apex Elementary PTA is creating an Equity Committee! This new committee will focus on learning and development around issues of equity in our school and communities, and set goals around supporting equitable access and experiences for all students at AES. We will work in partnership with the teacher & staff equity committee. If you are interested in joining, please email carissajwhite@gmail.com. We will plan an initial virtual meeting in January to get to know each other and brainstorm goals and working methods for the committee.
Reflections DEI Call for Artwork
Our 2020-2021 Reflections theme, I Matter Because… has taken on a new meaning and allows us to connect with what so many of our Black and Brown children may be feeling today. And so, we invite Reflections artists of color and their allies to share artwork that expresses and affirms their beliefs and identities—as well as the importance of Black lives. Select works will be used to help us celebrate diversity in the arts.
Thursday January 28th 4-8 pm (Beaver Creek Location). If ordering online enter the code "PRFUND" at checkout. Click here for flyer
