School of Music
Concordia's School of Music offers a wide variety of music ensembles in choir, handbell and orchestra participation:
  • The Community Chorus is a 100-voice non-auditioned choral ensemble, open to both CUE academic students as well as members of our community. The repertoire is vast, encompassing works with orchestra, lighter classics and season favourites. They perform three concerts a year, including collaborative events with other ensembles at CUE
  • Bella Voce Women's Ensemble is composed of women from the Concert Choir, Community Chorus and other members of the wider CUE community. They perform concerts on their own, as well as with the larger ensembles in the School of Music
  • The School of Music is proud to own the largest handbell collection in Canada, supporting student- and community-based ensembles. There are opportunities for first-time players, as well as seasoned veterans with JuBELLation, and the world-renowned Jubiloso! Bells of Concordia. The ensembles participate in on-campus concerts as well as yearly tours throughout the year
  • The Concordia Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is an auditioned ensemble open to members of the university community as well as the wider public community. Concerts feature promising young talents in the community, players within the orchestra's own ranks, and acclaimed professional musicians in solo performances
