Aquaculture is a growing industry in Ohio and the Great Lakes region. And just like land-based farms, fish farmers spend a lot of time making sure their animals are healthy. Ohio Sea Grant researchers at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) are helping with that.

2021 Algae Identification Workshop April 21-22
 
The workshop is geared toward introductory and intermediate levels of algae identification. Virtual lectures will introduce the most common types of algae and how to sample different habitats. Students will learn algae identification with live microscope feeds with fresh and preserved samples. 8 Ohio EPA contact hours are available for certification.
