January 12, 2021: New Flyer completes battery recycling pilot with Li-Cycle; charges forward with mobility deployments across North America
New Flyer has announced successful completion of a battery recycling pilot program with partner Li-Cycle Corporation, North America’s largest lithium-ion battery recycler. The pilot sustainably recycled over 3,200lbs of lithium-ion batteries, recovered critical resources for re-use in the battery supply chain, and produced minimal solid waste and zero liquid and air emissions.

New York’s CDTA expands sustainable transit with Xcelsior CHARGE buses from New Flyer
The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is advancing its pursuit of an all-electric fleet by 2035. The CDTA's first four electric vehicles - New Flyer's zero-emission Xcelsior CHARGE buses - delivered January 2020 and provide sustainable mobility across the region, with each bus eliminating 85-175 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
