THE MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS KAREKIN II ON THE HOLY NATIVITY AND THEOPHANY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

BDF Christmas message 2020-21

“The Glory of the Lord is Jesus Christ”

In a year like no other, the birth of Jesus Christ reminds us that God’s comfort is a living, personal reality, says Bishop Daniel, in a special Christmas message to the faithful of the Eastern Diocese.

“In the past months we have witnessed so much pain and suffering,” writes the Diocesan Primate. “So much grieving. So much discord and dissension. All of it crowned by the ruthless injustice and violence in Armenia and Artsakh, and here in the United States.”

Certainly, the disheartening events of the past year can be a challenge to the traditional spirit of this season. But the Christmas celebration emphasizes our need to seek out Christ—as he was sought out at the time of his birth.

“The glory of the Lord is Jesus Christ,” Bishop Daniel reminds us. “He appeared not just to the Magi, those mysterious figures that came to the Manger from the East two thousand years ago. He appears also to us, every day. God’s comfort and solace are ever present to everyone who dares to journey in search of Him.”

How should we go about that journey? Click the links below to learn more, by watching and reading Bishop Daniel’s message for this special Christmas:

Your donation to support FAR’s work gives the gift of hope to our brothers and sisters in need, allowing them to look forward to rebuilding their lives—whether back in Artsakh or in Armenia.
